Mississippi Most Honest State In US, Poll Shows

AP Article | CDC Press Release

Yesterday, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that Mississippi was the most obese state in the United States (32% of adults being obese), followed closely by the rest of the South. While they attribute this to the traditional southern diet of deep-fried pig tears, I believe there's another force at work here.

Consider this: The CDC conducted telephone interviews to obtain heights and weights of random citizens of each state. Using these they calculated each person's Body Mass Index. A BMI of 30 or more is considered obese.

Anyone with any knowledge of BMI (and even fat people trying to keep the average down) could lie about their height and weight. A 5' 9" adult weighing 203 lbs would have a BMI of exactly 30, landing them in the obese category. Therefore, any person lighter than 203 lbs need only to list their height at 5' 9". (A formula is provided at the end of the article.) By the same token, anyone taller than 5' 9" could say they weighed 203 or less and get their state off the hook.

I believe this survey is less about our country's weight, and more about its honesty. In a day and age where anyone can say anything about themselves without the risk of a background check, we need to understand that it's not important how much we weigh, but how much we lie. And that means Colorado has the most liars of any other state (81% of adults).

O.o Bish, I think the pain meds have gotten to your brain in an unexpected way. While most boys your ages are reading Kerrang, Sports Illustrated or good ol' Playboy, you've got the Associated Press.
And what about those people who are UNDER 5'9" AND 203 lbs? You and your tallness aae fine, but us shorties need specifications too! Though, I really don't approve of government health standards of proper weight:height ratios. Some of them are just plain unrealistic.

Vampi, Vampi, Vampi...your living in the past. Boys our age these days can't rely on a picture for our needs. It just doesn't do it. We use videos off the web or television (if our parents are rich bastards who have every fucking channel offered *cough* Jack *cough*).

Bishop, who knew, but I am actualy not obese! Sweetness. I don't think we can say the same thing for swetty.

Dude, seriously? Paying for porn? Sooo 20 years ago. wtf is wrong with you people.

Btw, Larry, I think you misread my comment. I was merely ragging on Bish's choice of literature. I wasn't saying for him to look at those magazines to find not obese people or hot chicks to gawk at. o.O

Shadowdude forgot yer name, EAT SOMETHING! I'm shorter than you and weigh more. Geez! /e shoves a piece of cake down your throat

You should see the swim team picture in the yearbook. Marc looks like a Holocaust survivor.

Sorry, I'm bad with names >,< Ask Bish how many times I've guessed who's who.
You must have an absolutely wonderous metabolism... gimme?
Unfortunately, Bish, I'll probably never see pictures of any of you, let alone the swim team pic in the yearbook. >,<

Well first of all you don't pay for the porn you watch the free preview. I am now officialy 6'1 and 200 lbs. All muscle (not really, a lot of it is fat). Marc was actualy like 75 at the end of this year. He is tiny.
